Brief Introduction
Chaga, also known as Inonotus obliquus, is a medicinal fungus that grows on birch
trees. It is rich in cellulose, volatile oil, polysaccharides, vitamins and other ingredients.

Chaga is a sterile fruiting body that is nearly spherical or indefinitely massive. The
diameter is 7~36cm, the surface is hard, yellowish brown to black, and there are small
pieces with obvious unevenness and cracking. The flesh of the bacteria is yellowish brown,
and the mycelium is a secondary mycelial system. Reproductive hyphae are light yellow,
septated, without lock-like joints, 4-6 μm in diameter. Skeleton hyphae is bristle-like hyphae,
yellowish brown, 5-6 μm in diameter, fruiting bodies are difficult to find. The fungus flesh
tissue is composed of brown bristly hyphae and light yellow reproductive hyphae, thick walled,
with slight and indistinct bad lines, bright light yellowish brown, bristle body dark brown.
