Brief Introduction
Black Wolfberry belongs to Lycium of Solanaceae. It is a thorns shrub with many
white hard and zigzag branches. It is distributed in Northwest China, Northwest sev-
eral provinces Tibet and Central Asia of Europe.
It is sweet in taste and neutral in nature, and is rich in protein, Lycium polysaccha-
ride, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and other nutrients. Meanwhile it
contains rich black fruit pigment -- natural proanthocyanidin (red fruit wolfberry does
not contain), and its OPC content is higher than blueberry (black wolfberry fructus OP
C3690mg/100g; Blueberry OPC330 ~ 3380mg/100g), which is the natural wild plant
with the highest OPC content found so far. Proanthocyanidin OPC is the most effective
natural water-soluble free radical scavenger, which is 20 times more effective than Vc
and 50 times more effective than VE. Black wolfberry is known as the wild "blue en-
chantress".
