     Myrrh is the dried resin, which is a medicine for promoting blood circulation and removing stasis. It's neutral in nature, pungent and bitter in taste, belonging to heart, liver, spleen.
     Myrrh is divided into natural myrrh and colloidal myrrh. Natural myrrh is irregular granule agglomerates, varying in size, and the diameter of the big one is more than 6cm. The surface is yellowish brown or reddish brown, and the nearly transl- ucent part is brownish black, covered with yellow dust. The texture is hard and brittle, and the broken surface is irregular and dull.It has a specific aroma,and the taste is bitter and slightly pungent. Colloidal myrrh is in the form of irregular lumps and granules, and is often bonded into agglomerates of different sizes. The diameter of the larger ones is more than 6cm. And the surface is brownish yellow to brown, opaque, solid or loose. It has a specific aroma as well, and the taste is bitter and sticky.
     Myrrh resin is commonly used in perfumery, medicines and cosmetics and has been used for hundreds of years.
